Good restaurant in Avignon
If you're looking for a great meal out in Avignon, try "Les Apprentis de la Bonneterie". It's a little bit off the beaten tourist track, and full of locals, both of which are good signs. It's a few years since we were there, so I hope it hasn't changed too much.

We'd a long chat with the patron after hours about the wine-tasting course he'd just been on. He offered us a precious taste of a little-known wine made by a friend of his. Hmm, not too good, I'm afraid!

But we'd a lovely evening, and I would recommend it.
