Holidays in St.-Remy-de-Provence
A few years back six of us hired a holiday villa in St. Remy de Provence. It was so good, we went back the next year to the same house. (It had a lovely big garden and a little pool.)

St. Remy is a great place to base yourself if you want to explore Provence. It's a lovely village itself, even though we never got around to doing the Van Gogh trail, or Glanum. Les Baux de Provence is very nearby, and you're within an easy daytrip of Arles, Avignon, the Camargue, the Luberon etc. We also did a couple of trips further afield - canoeing in the Gardon, and visiting the Ardeche gorge.

I should add that we had our own transport - St. Remy probably wouldn't be so great if you planned to stay put.
